Peter Wooton has over 15 years experience of the public sector. At Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) Peter was the main administrator for esd-toolkit and was closely involved in an esd-toolkit national project as a member of the esd-toolkit steering and development groups and chair of the East of England Toolkit Local Community usergroup. As a client project manager / senior business analyst within the Community Information Unit at HCC Peter’s projects included leading on the development of the e-mail alerts service, management and development of online surveys and the management and development of Hertfordshire’s Local Information Service (HertLIS) and associated secure extranet. Prior to joining HCC Peter worked for 8 years with British Telecom in the City of London where he was first an instructor for a newly introduced Customer Service System (CSS) before progressing to Sales Manager. Now a freelance esd-toolkit consultant Peter’s areas of expertise include:
- Understanding client needs, translating those needs into a business case, creating a project from the business case then delivering the project through either WSB, PRINCE2 or SPRINT methodologies.
- esd-toolkit user support and training
- Facilitating user events/workshops to enable delegates to discuss business process re-engineering (BPR); improvements to service delivery; preferred service delivery channels and gaining a better understanding of service user needs.
Peter is a PRINCE 2 practitioner and holds a Diploma in Management from the University of Hertfordshire.
